We are excited to partner with our neighbors to the north, the Saskatchewan Geological Society, for a joint SGS-MGS field trip to Yellowstone National Park September 10th-12th! The trip will be led by Dr. Marc Hendrix from the University of Montana, author of the fantastic book Geology Underfoot in Yellowstone Country.

Please see the attached announcement (trip details also below). There is a block of rooms reserved at the Yellowstone River Motel in Gardiner, MT, but space is limited and doubling up is recommended. The cost is outlined in the announcement. You are of course welcome to find your own accommodations. Trips will leave from the Yellowstone River Motel each morning at 9 am.

We must receive an RSVP by Monday August 26th to montanageologicalsociety@gmail.com if you plan on going. This will help our organizers know how many to expect and to figure out stops in the park.
