MGS Happy Hour talk, Dr. Adrian Van Rythoven
April 17 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free
The MGS is excited to announce another speaker for our Spring Happy Hour series. Join us live in Billings, Thursday April 17th from 5-8 pm. There will be a synchronous Missoula Watch Party via Zoom. The speaker will be Dr. Adrian Van Rythoven from the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology. His research involves critical minerals in Montana, with prior experience as both a university professor and industry geologist. He will present his talk, Two newly identified carbonatite-hosted REE prospects in Montana. Definitely a timely talk and some fascinating rocks.
Billings attendees:
Please note our new venue. We will be meeting at Poly’s Place at 1704 Poly Drive. The venue has informed us that you can BYOB. We will have pizza provided. The cost will be:
Students: $10 – MGS Members: $20 – Non-members: $30
We can take cash or check.
Missoula attendees:
Please also note a new venue; the Zoom Watch Party will be held at the Headwaters Foundation, 119 West Main St., in the Confluence Room. The Missoula event is not BYOB, as that is restricted at the venue, but pizza will also be provided. Donations are encouraged to offset that cost.
MGS membership sheets to join or renew will be available at both locations.
For more information, please download the event flyer here.
We look forward to getting together again in Billings and Missoula. See you soon!
Cheers,
MGS
