MGS Happy Hour: Dr. Stuart Parker
November 20 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
FreeAs we head into the shorter days of the winter season, we are excited to bring back our MGS speaker series. Join us on Wednesday November 20th from 5-8 pm for our first Happy Hour presentation of the season. This event will be live in Missoula, and streamed to a watch party in Billings.
Our speaker will be Dr. Stuart Parker from the Montana Bureau of Mines of Geology. He will be presenting on “Linking the Sevier and Laramide Belts in the Idaho-Montana fold-thrust belt” where he will discuss how the thin-skinned (Sevier) and thick-skinned (Laramide) structural styles are kinematically linked.

The address for MSUB is 1500 University Dr. A map is attached that shows suggested parking on Poly Ave. and where to walk. The space is located in the Yellowstone Science & Health Building (“Science Building” on Google Maps) and the room is YSHB101 right inside the front entryway of the building. If attending in Billings, please RSVP by Tuesday Nov. 19th so we know how much pizza to order. Donations are welcome to cover the cost of pizza.
